Susan Van Thomas

12/14/1940 - 10/09/2021

An angel crossed over into heaven on October 9, 2021. Susan Thomas of Mesa, AZ passed peacefully in her sleep Saturday night with her daughter Karen and her beloved dog Spencer at her side. Sue was born on December 14, 1940, in Hackensack New Jersey and was the mother of three children, Charles, Richard and Karen Lentz, who remain and will miss her dearly.

Sue was a vibrant, active athlete who loved playing tennis, bowling, and getting in her weekly card game with the girls. Sue had a love for the arts and was always creating beautiful hand-made crafts for others she knew and loved. Sue was witty, sharp and had a great sense of humor; her smile was infectious and brought joy to everyone around her. Sue was a successful paralegal for over 40 years and spent her final years in AZ with her best friend and daughter, Karen.

Condolences

  • To my dear brothers, Chuckie and Ricky and sister, Karen,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Your Mom was a wonderful person, a true joy to share times with and my heart is broken knowing she will no longer be here on earth with us. I am full of joy and peace knowing she has gone home and will be playing and winning, of course, EVERY TENNIS MATCH she will be playing up there with the BIG MAN. All my love to you all. She was a friend to me and I loved her like she was my own.
    Love
    Your Sis Lis XO
