Our husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, & friend, Ron Peters, has completed his mission on Earth & was called home on October 29, 2023. He was born October 4, 1948 in Leavenworth, WA. He was adopted into a loving family at 6 weeks of age by, Roger William & Merlin Katherine Peters in Wenatchee, WA.

Ron lived an exceptional life. He graduated high school in 1966. Ron then served a faithful mission in Sweden for 2 years where he learned to make his famous Swedish pancakes. After he came home, he joined the U.S. Navy in 1970. He was honorably discharged in 1976. He served on the USS Blue Ridge, as a radio mechanics technician. He served in the Gulf of Tonkin for 39 months. Ron received the National Defense Service medal, Vietnam Service medal, Combat Action ribbon, & First Good Conduct award for period ending in 1974.

He married his wife, Debra Peters, after a 10 day courtship on August 23, 1982 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. They were sealed for all time & eternity on September 9, 1983 in the Seattle, WA. Temple. They moved to Mesa, AZ in 1988.

Ron loved going fishing & camping, he had a huge love for tinkering with computers, cameras, televisions, anything electronic. He was an entrepreneur, an electrician & a published author. Ron was a very creative thinker, he knew how to crochet, knit, sew, build almost anything, he had a green thumb for gardening with his loved ones, he was very talented and had many hobbies.

Ron is survived by his wife of 43 years, Debra Peters. As well as, two children, Lorette Hawkins & William Twitchell Jr. Ron is also survived by four grandchildren, Justin, Anna, Hollie & Cory. Also, four great-grandchildren, Nicole, Jesse, Roy & Thomas. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Roger & Merlin Peters, his sister, Kathy Brummett, & a granddaughter, Heather Matteson.

Viewing is Thursday 11/2/23 5-7 pm at Bunker’s University Chapel 3529 E. University Dr. Mesa, AZ 85213

Funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Friday 11/3/2023 at 1:00 pm. A luncheon will follow the service.
