Rita M McInnis

Rita M McInnis passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 9^th, 2024. She was born March 5^th, 1935 in Toledo, Ohio to Stephen and Kathryn Irmen. She adopted three children, Kristin, Damien James, and Katie. She has 14 grandchildren and  9 great grandchildren. Rita also has 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Over 50 years of her life were dedicated to the service of others in the nursing profession. Rita went into nursing right out of high school getting her nursing degree from St. Vincent School of Nursing. She continued her education throughout the years obtaining a bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees. Rita was active in the Catholic Church and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. There will be a visitation at Bunker Garden Chapel, 33 N Centennial Way, on Sunday, January 21^st from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at Saint Timothy Catholic Church, 1730 W Guadalupe Rd, on Monday, January 22^nd at 10 am. She will be laid to rest at Saint Francis Catholic Cemetery at 1pm. Memorial tributes may be made to the Catholic Church of your choice, or Hospice of the Valley.
