  • Rich was a big part of our lives, and will be so missed. He was best friend of my husband, Bill. They grew up together, and the stories were hilarious. My heart goes out to his wife and rest of his family. He was loved. ❤️

We are all sad with the outcome but know it was Gods will. I have tons of memories with Rich being my neighbor and friend since 1956. We shared a lot of times together and I will keep these memories forever. Happy Trails my dear friend until we meet again.

  • We loved Rich’s easy going spirit, his individualism, his love for the outdoors and that he loved our long time friend, his beloved wife, Patti! We have such happy memories of visiting them in AZ, eating outdoors and watching the sunset over the mountains. Playing cards and other games were a fun and an enjoyable way to spend the evenings. We loved it when they came to Pocono Pines, PA, to visit us in their RV motor home. Now that’s a great way to travel! We are so happy Rich was able to complete the cross country trip and be able to cross that adventure off his bucket list. Our friendship came into being only twelve years ago….but will last in our hearts and minds forever. Until we meet again….Love, Joyce & Drew

There are no words that can fill the holes in hearts left by the passing of our Uncle Rich. As time goes on, we hope the holes fill with happy, loving memories and the sadness eases.

Tim and I will be forever grateful to Uncle Rich for what was the trip of a lifetime for our Dad….Rich and Stan on a road trip back to Minnesota. I envisage it to be something like a male version of Thelma and Louise. Stan being the conservative play by the rules type and Uncle Rich…well, Uncle Rich being Uncle Rich!

We think it so fitting that our fun loving, cheeky, sometimes even annoying, always laughing and smiling uncle took his final bow on New Year’s Eve. He will certainly be missed.

    Our Love,
    Kathi (not Kathleen) & Tim

PS. Uncle Rich, ever since I can remember called me Kathleen, knowing full well I was a Katherine. I knew it was in good fun!

Sadly, Rich is no longer physically present to us, but his spirit will always be with us. To me, that spirit is one of love, caring, mischief making, adventure and humor. Rich could always be counted on to enhance any gathering with his energetic presence, chiding, and robust laughter. He enjoyed a good time and did his best to see that others around him enjoyed themselves too. Rich also had a more serious and compassionate side. He was a great support to me through a myriad of life’s challenges. I will miss Rich with all my heart but am eternally grateful for having shared a bit of life and so many fun times with him. There is a German proverb that says: “Those who live in the Lord never see each other for the last time”. Until that time when we meet again, Rich’s spirit will live among us and will continue to enrich our lives each time we share the many stories we carry with us and as we carry his memory in our hearts.

And by the way Rich, I am not sorry for hanging up on you those many years ago. You earned that, and you got a lot of mileage off retelling the story. I can still hear you laughing as you did.

    We love you Rich,
    Mavis & Kevin
