Pickens Walter

Walter Wayne Pickens, born October 9, 1928, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 19, 2013. There to meet him was his wife: Lavona (Lee) Pickens. Left to carry on his traditions are his wife: Virginia Dobbins Pickens; two sons: Michael W. Pickens and Keith E. (Kathy) Pickens. His legacy will be continued through his 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was a Union Carpenter for 30 years, worked at Mesa Schools as a Carpenter for 18 years, then retired. He loved to go hunting, fishing and work on cars with his boys. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Bunker’s University Chapel, 3529 E. University Dr., Mesa, AZ 85205. Funeral Services are 10:30 AM, Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church, 3810 E. University Dr., Mesa, Arizona 85205.
