Peter R. Pastore Jr.

03/14/1951 - 10/16/2018
Service Date: 10/29/2018

“Pete” Pastore, 67, passed away on October 16, 2018, at his home in Mesa, AZ. Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Pete Pastore Sr. He is survived in death by his sons, Jason Pastore, (Yvonne Pastore), George Pastore, (Nina Pastore), and Joe Pastore.

Pete will be missed greatly by his family, especially his five grandchildren, John Paul Pastore, Dominic Pastore, Nicholas Pastore, Josie Ann Pastore, and Ellie Pastore, of whom he was so proud, and loved so dearly.

Pete worked for the United States Postal Service in Joliet, Illinois, Scottsdale, AZ, and Chandler, AZ until he retired. He enjoyed coaching his three sons in all their various sports as they grew up, and enjoyed, even more, watching his grandchildren play competitive sports.

He was loved dearly by his extended family, and friends, and will be thought of often, and missed by us all. There will be a private service held Monday, October 29th for Pete. May he rest in peace.

To The Family of Dear Peter,
We attended the service yesterday at the cemetery, and we just want to tell you how lovely we thought it was.
The singing was so wonderful (and even sung accepella) and it couldn’t have easy for them to do that. Father Fushek’s comforting and heartfelt words were so touching too.
Peter can certainly be proud of his sons, and the grandchildren and wives were so sweet………I know why he talked about his family all the time.
We have known Pete since he moved into the Park and often gave him rides to the store and to his Texas Holdem games. He never complained about his disability and days when he couldn’t get into our van, he would simply say, “I’ll just walk.” What a kind, gentle man he was. We will miss him so much.
‘So when tomorrow starts without him, don’t think you’re far apart. For everytime you think of him, he’ll be right there in your heart.’
Thank you for sharing your dad with us….he is leaving us with a lot of wonderful memories.
