Paul Randall Bates

Dr. Paul Randall Bates, DC, 69, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 in Mesa, Arizona. Paul was born in Birmingham, Alabama on March 6, 1952 to Howard and Dottie Bates. He is preceded in death by his Father Howard, grandson Beckham Anderson, and the beautiful mother of his children Deborah Bates. He is survived by his children Jason (Michele) Bates, Krista (Jason) Meeks, Jennifer (Damon) Lines, Angela (Matt) Sloan, Stephanie (Max) Anderson, Trevor (Risa) Bates, Travis Bates and 24 grandchildren.

Paul Graduated from Saguaro High School in 1970 and Palmer Chiropractic College in Iowa in 1975. While attending Palmer College he met and married Deborah Bates on December 19, 1972. He opened his first Chiropractic practice in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1975 and they raised their 7 kids there. He was a practicing chiropractor for over 20 years.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He loved serving others and was always looking for ways to serve his family and friends.

Paul, also known as Bubba, Randy, Dad, and Poppy was a devoted father, son, brother, and grandfather. He enjoyed his weekly Saturday lunch dates with his mom, brother, and sister. He loved his grandkids and devoted many nights to attending their sports games or performances. He was the life of the party and always brightened up the room when he entered. He had a passion for hunting, camping, and fishing. He will be missed by all who loved him.
