Norman Keith Enlow, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully in his home of over 55 years on June 19th, 2024 at the age of 89 years old, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on June 18th, 1935, in Waterloo, Iowa. Norman was preceded in death by his brothers John Enlow and Albert Enlow, his sister Leta Betts, and his children Keith Enlow, Timothy Enlow, and Krysta Enlow.
Norman is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Dollye Enlow; his daughters Paula Duncan and Lisa Enlow; his grandchildren Preston, Nathan, Domenic, Madison, Amelia, Sean, Garrett, and Gavin; and his great-grandchildren Brixton and McKinley.
Norman had a distinguished career serving his country in the US Navy for over 8 years, where he played a pivotal role in commissioning the USS Tullibee and later the USS James Monroe submarines. After his military service, he dedicated 35 years to Motorola, retiring as a senior technician.
An active member of his community, Norman spent many years with Boy Scout Troop 656, where he held leadership roles and was one of the last surviving members of the Hound Dog Patrol. He was known for his expertise in various pursuits including building, woodworking, car repairs, hunting, skiing, running, archery, fishing, camping, and coaching baseball. Norman was passionate about passing on his skills and knowledge to his children and grandchildren, and he continued coaching little league long after his own children had grown.
The memory of Norman Keith Enlow will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
