Condolences

  • Dear Valentine family,

It was just recently that Russ and I spoke with Diane about your kind mother and recalled some nice memories. Our Scottsdale 5th Ward friends are our “forever friends” in every way. I recall all the many years of service your mother gave in the Relief Society. She rarely missed an opportunity to help someone else. And I can’t speak of Norma without mentioning Debs. One of my fondest memories of him is when he managed to lead our ward choir in performing many selections from Handel’s “Messiah” for our Christmas program. Not many ward choirs tackle the “Messiah” but with Ruth Gibbons’ masterful help in accompanying us, we did a pretty amazing job.

Our sincere sympathies to all of you and your families.

    Russ and Barbara Benson

  • I was a housekeeper at Legacy a while ago and Norma was my favorite lil lady in memory care! She loved to walk around her room and clean up all the time and she sang so beautifully! One of my favorite memories of her was when her and her friend Doris were walking down the hall, and Doris let Norma hold onto the walker to walk down the hall together.
