Nina “Jean” (Harrison) Daniels was born April 16, 1945 in Snowflake, Arizona. Jean was always proud of being a “Native Arizonan.” She passed away on the morning of December 31, 2019 at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona. She went peacefully surrounded by family.
Jean had a varied working career. She worked in food service, claims processing for Medicare claims, electronics manufacturing, banker, apartment complex manager, office manager, business owner, construction secretary, and homemaker.
Jean enjoyed being active and lived life to the fullest. She chaired committees at her Church, belonged to a bowling league, was an excellent cook, liked to share her favorite recipes, collected coins, was a yellow belt in Taekwondo, loved the outdoors, was an excellent rifle shot, an avid camper, and caught fish when no one else got a bite. Jean also liked to play slot machines and had a knack of playing just the right one. She seemed to always win.
Jean and Rod were married in Las Vegas on February 20, 1971. They enjoyed a happy, loving, and eventful life together.
Jean is survived by her husband, Rod; daughter, Kara; son, Randy; grandchildren, Kasey, Brittany, and Daniel; great-granddaughters, Kaydence and Logan; brother, George; sisters, Edna, Jewel, and Merle; and many nieces and nephews.
The family has planned a private Celebration of Life service. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for contributions in Jean’s name to the American Lung Association. Bunker’s Garden Chapel handled her final arrangements. (480) 964-8686
