Gladys Dixon Nelson passed away at the age of 93 on June 22, 2015 in Mesa, Arizona. Gladys was born to Leroy and Electa Dixon and raised in Provo, Utah. In 1941 she married her high school sweetheart, Ivan W. Nelson, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised their 6 children in Phoenix, AZ. As a devoted wife and mother, Gladys’ greatest joy in life was her family, 25 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. She served faithfully in callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her loving nature, humble grace, noble character, and unwavering testimony of the Lord leave a great legacy to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her son, David, and husband, Ivan. Gladys is survived by sons Bill (Jeanne), and Kent (Kathleen) and daughters Diane Garns (Allen), Carolyn Shockey (Jerry) and Julie Morris (Kevin).

Services in MESA, AZ will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 at the LDS Three Fountains Ward, 1852 N. Stapley Drive, Mesa, Arizona. Visitation will be at 9:00 AM, followed by funeral services at 10:00 AM.

Services in PROVO, UT will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Berg Mortuary, 185 E. Center St., Provo Utah. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM, followed  by funeral services at 11:00 AM.

Interment will be at the Provo City Cemetery, 610 S. State Street, Provo, Utah. Arrangements by Bunker’s Garden Chapel, Mesa, Arizona.
