Michelle Alvis-White, 33, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017 after a car accident. Michelle was born in Mesa, AZ on October 11, 1983. Michelle lived a life of service from a young age and was the Citywide Volunteer Coordinator for the City of Mesa.  Michelle loved giving back to the residents of her hometown and organized volunteers and events which served the entire community.  She never met a stranger and helped all who crossed her path.

Michelle’s love of animals began through her involvement in 4-H as a young child.  She raised horses, cattle, chickens, turkeys, guinea hens, and she loved her dogs.  She has passed this love of animals to her young son, her cowboy in training.

She is survived by her husband David, son Zane, parents Mike and Pat, sisters Beth (Domingo) and Samantha, niece Anna, Uncle Dell (Beverly), grandmother Pat and many cousins.  She was proceeded in death by her Grandmother Mary Edith, her Uncle Joe, father-in-law Frank, and her beloved Callie.

A celebration of life is planned for Friday, January 27 at 2:00 PM at the Kimball East Stake Offices.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Michelle’s honor for her 2-year old son Zane has been set up at https://www.gofundme.com/michelle-alviswhite-memorial-fund.

Condolences

  • Blessings of peace to David, Zane and the rest of your family.

I will miss your laughter and smile during our visits. Rest in Peace my friend!

  • Michelle was an amazing woman, and none of us will ever forget her. She was an amazing influence to everyone who met her and anyone who saw the things that she did.

  • Most of you know me by a different name, but for reasons that I don’t need to explain, I am not sharing that name. Michelle was like a mother to me, and it is impossible to forget a person like her. She will live on forever in our hearts and in the community.
