“IronMAsoN” was born Mason Jesse Rowley on June 15, 2001 in Mesa, Arizona. He was the only son out of two children. Mason completed the eighth grade and was very unexpectedly diagnosed with brain cancer. He spent the past 3 years battling his debilitating disease.
Mason didn’t allow this to affect his cheerful and charming nature. He loved music and enjoyed playing guitar and going to concerts. He was very artistic. He loved to read, work on his computer, 3-D print, and he was an extremely advanced student. Mason ran the mile in track and field and enjoyed racing his BMX bike at the race track. Mason was a huge Marvel comic fan and was especially drawn to IronMan. He had a memory more effective than a Google search.
Mason loved everyone he knew and they reciprocated their love as-well. His short life prevented him from accomplishing his high ambitions, including; missionary service, completing college, and becoming a husband/father, but he was an expert at enjoying the moment without regret, no matter the circumstances.
Mason passed away on June 13, 2018, his sisters 13th birthday. He would be 17 years old. He will be sorely missed by his mom, Nicolle Rowley; dad, Jesse Rowley; sister, Madisen Rowley; and his dog, Recon.
We will be honoring Mason on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10:00am, with a viewing prior to that from 9:00 to 9:45am. His services will be held at the LDS chapel located at 777 E Elliot Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85296. Following his services, Mason will be laid to rest at the City of Mesa Cemetery. There will also be a viewing at Bunker’s Garden Chapel, 33 N Centennial Way, Mesa, AZ 85201, on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Mason’s parents would like to make it clear that Mason’s funeral services are open to all people, of all beliefs.
