Margaret Elinor “Margie” Busse Margaret Elinor “Margie” Busse, 77, passed away on July 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, who remained by her side, holding her hands until her final breath. Born on October 19, 1948, to Margaret Eleanor (O’Brien) Busse and Joseph William Busse, Margie lived life boldly and on her own terms. She was known for her big heart, hardworking spirit, quick wit, determination, unwavering loyalty, and generosity. Her favorite saying, “My way or the highway,” perfectly reflected her strong will and independent nature. She was stubborn, hard headed, and never afraid to stand her ground. If Margie believed she was right, there was little chance of changing her mind. She could certainly be tough, and if you ended up on her bad side, you knew it. But even then, when it truly mattered, she would still show up without hesitation. No disagreement was ever bigger than her love for the people she cared about. She spoke everything on her mind and held nothing back. She was fiercely herself through and through and never once changed. She had a remarkable gift for conversation and could talk her way into just about anything, always finding a way to make things happen. Her wit was quick, she loved to laugh and make people laugh. Fearless, resourceful, humorous, and endlessly devoted to the people she loved, Margie was the kind of woman who always had your back. Throughout her life, Margie worked hard and took great pride in everything she did. She served as a comptroller for a chemical manufacturing company before later becoming a successful entrepreneur, traveling to flea markets and shopping malls selling merchandise. No matter where life took her, she approached every role with determination, confidence, and a tireless work ethic. She never met a stranger and had a remarkable ability to befriend anyone. Her adventures led to unforgettable experiences. Margie was known for having the luckiest streak of anyone her family knew. Whether it was a scratch ticket, a slot machine, or simply being in the right place at the right time, luck always seemed to follow her. And if you knew Margie, you knew there was almost always a Pepsi close by. She loved cooking, baking, dancing, and making memories with the people she loved. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she poured her heart into making it magical. To her grandchildren, she wasn’t just Grandma during the holidays, she became one of Santa’s elves. She transformed her home into a place of wonder, preparing elaborate three course meals, spending weeks baking hundreds of homemade desserts, and making every Christmas feel like something out of a storybook. She also had an incredible eye for decorating, creating elegant Christmas trees that became a cherished family tradition and filled her home with warmth, beauty, and holiday magic. To many, she was simply Grandma. She became the neighborhood grandma, opening her heart and home to anyone who needed a little extra love. If you walked through her door, you were welcomed like family, treated to an incredible meal, and always made to feel at home. If Margie loved you, you never had to wonder where you stood. She was fiercely loyal, incredibly generous, and always the first to show up when someone she loved needed her. She went above and beyond to make holidays, birthdays, and everyday moments feel special, creating memories her family will cherish forever. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Eleanor (O’Brien) Busse and Joseph William Busse; her brothers, Jimmy Busse and Joseph Busse; her sister in law, Mary Busse; and her son in law, James K Williams. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Jamie and Peter Uremovic; her granddaughters, Jessie, Kaya, and Mia; her bonus grandsons, Ian Murray and Oberon Scheeler; her beloved fur great grandbabies; and her sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Tom Fitzgerald. Margie’s family would like to thank everyone for the love, prayers, kindness, and support shown during this difficult time. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and remembered always.
