Loran Erdy Webb

08/26/1947 - 04/09/2022
Loran Erdy Webb was born on August 26, 1947 at Southside Hospital in Mesa, Arizona. He left this Earthly existence, surrounded by his loving family on April 9 2022. His beloved wife, Marilyn Crook Webb, was holding his sweet hand as he quietly and peacefully slipped thru the veil, to be reunited with his loved ones on the other side, mainly their son Tyler David Webb.

Loran was a life-long Mesan, except for the 2 years he served his Heavenly Father in Argentina from 1966-1969 , on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was, and is, a faithful, stalwart missionary. He took his wife, Marilyn, back in 2000 to spend weeks reuniting with members he had served and to show her the beautiful country that he loved.

Loran was in the 1st graduating class of Westwood High School in 1965, helped choose the colors and songs, and all the other fun stuff that went along with the 1st class. He was an amazing wrestler for his Jr Hi and Westwood. Also placed in State. He had a beautiful singing voice, but not too many knew! He loved the music of the late 50s and 60s and taught our children to love it, too!

Loran met Marilyn at Church as he gave his homecoming report, and she knew right away he was the one.  Loran was patient, in that he had to wait for Marilyn to graduate from Westwood before they could marry.  They had a loving marriage that was filled to the brim…6 wonderful children , their spouses, and now 22 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Loran was a lover of outdoors, hunting, camping, working, and Arizona supplied that. He, was blessed to serve as the Mesa Easter Pageant chair director for over 33 years, and therefore our family served along side of him all those years.  He made sure there were 10,000 chairs set up and taken down , every year. Our family was blessed beyond measure for that service. The day  he left this Earth,  that nights performance of the pageant was dedicated to him.  What an honor for him.
His services were held at Mesa 25th ward building..the same building where they  met, attended, served in for 51 years.

Loran is survived by his eternal companion, Marilyn, their sons Jeffrey L Webb (Katrina Ritman), Tyler D Webb, deceased, (Kari Leonard), daughter Carly A Griffitts (Frank), son Travis J Webb (Amber South) , daughter Lindsey D Oberst (Mike) and son Chip R.L. Webb (Deena). Also his loving sisters, Judy Davis, Karen Webb, Sandra Seifert and their families.
Loran was a quiet, loving servant of his Heavenly Father. He never spoke ill of anyone. He just served.
