Kathleen Hoopes, 72, was called home on 30 November 2021 in Mesa, Arizona. Kathy was born to Miles Haven Romney and Dora Viola Foster in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1949. She graduated from Snow College and had a career in education with an emphasis on oral interpreting for hearing impaired students. Kathy enjoyed playing the piano and cross stitching. She was a source of joy to all who knew her. Kathy is survived by the love of her life, Jack Hoopes of which they were happily married for 46 wonderful years. She is also survived by her two sons Nathan and Wyeth, five grandchildren and her sisters Barbara and Beverly. Her graveside service will be held on Monday, 20 December 2021 at the town cemetery in Thatcher, Arizona.

Kathy was my college roommate and BFF at Southern Utah State College and a lifelong friend. She was witty, intelligent, generous, fun, and all-around wonderful gal. She was the kind you could go long periods of time not being in touch and when you connected it was like time had not passed. My condolences to her whole family. Love you, “Romney!” 😢

Just read on Family Tree of Kathy’s passing. Kathy and I are cousins and we grew up together in Albuquerque. We had great times together. Sorry to hear of your loss but I know through the love of our Heavenly Father and His Plan of Happiness we will see her again. Bill Call
