John Christopher Heindel left us suddenly and unexpectedly on 08/23/19 after 65 eventful years on this earth. His life was filled with experiences and adventures that could literally fill a book (Johnny’s Boys [paperback 2014]) – or two.
Although he is internationally renown for his creation of the MGM Grand Lion, his greatest creations are his three offspring: Joseph Heindel, Rosie Heindel-Howsden, and Sierra Rayne Heindel.
Included in his various escapades he spent time with his daughter-in-law Beth and his granddaughters Francesca and Calista; however, he had yet to meet his new son-in-law Andrew.
We plan to come together to share stories and celebrate JohnnyLee’s life on Friday 08/30 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Superstition Mountain Lost Dutchman Museum Elvis Presley Memorial Chapel at 4087 N. Apache Trail, AJ, AZ 85119 Elvis Presley Memorial Chapel. A fitting location for the steampunk desert pirate that he is – at the base of the majestic mountain.
At 12:30pm, we will be at Mountain View Cemetery 7900 E. Main St., Mesa, AZ 85207 Mountain View Funeral Home And Cemetery, LLC to say our final adios to our larger than life, story-telling dreamer.
As he was always one to recognize, every little bit helps…

For those of us that lose loved ones, in our lives, that hole in your heart will remain. It is the wonderful memories, and loving moments you remember and hold dear. He will continue to live in those he left behind, by honoring his memory.
Hope these difficult days ahead, will bring you comfort, knowing so many people care, and are thinking of your family.
Kathleen
