Jacque,
Rob Talbot let me know of Jerry’s passing. We were friends in high school and then I moved. He was so fun and kind. I was new at Mesa high my junior year and he and Robin were the first to befriend me.
I’m so very sorry for your loss. Loosing a spouse is one of the hardest trials I think we are asked to do. Rely on the memories and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. You are loved.
Sincere condolences and prayers

So sorry for Jerry and his Family
Jacque, I can only imagine the pain you are going through. Remember your hands across the alter and the binding seal of eternal love. Condolences to your family and his friends. This was so surprising to hear. I let Bishop know and he was shocked. He’ll probably announce to Papago Ward Sunday. You’re in our prayers for you to remember “Til we meet again” Jerry

I’m sorry to hear about Jerry, we were buds in Highschool with Rob Talbot and had plenty of good times! One thing that I was impressed with Jerry is that he always treated my wife Ginny like a queen while we dated in Highschool.
Jerry was a special friend for me and it was always a joyous occasion when we would run into each other.
My the Lord comfort and bless Jerry’s family at the time.

remarks . Good night and we will visit. Again tomorrow.
I had vague memories of Uncle Jerry as a child. But I knew who he was. Best memory I have of him is that while I was in my Mission in Kyiv Ukraine he looked me up and spent a day with me and my companion. I was shocked to see some one from the Navajo Nation and a family member. He was working on the new US Embassy in Kyiv. He was great to see and talk to and I thought he was amazing to be willing to go so far away alone and work in a strange land. He had a brave heart and that stuck with me for the better. Till we meet again Uncle Jerry! ??? До зустрічі!
We will miss you. You were Grandmas favorite. You were a hunter while in Chinle. From rabbits bobcats and coyotes. Grandpa would say be careful Jerry and enjoy the hunt. Aww. Jerry so many memories. Journey well…
Dear Sweet Jacque – I am so sorry to learn of Jerry’s passing. I love you and know that you are an amazing woman. There are no words, other than I am so sorry for your loss. If I had known earlier, I would have come to the funeral. Just know that you are loved and admired by so many people. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Nancy
Jacque and family, I was shocked to hear of his death a few minutes ago. Most of you do not know me but I served a mission in Oklahoma in 1967 – 69 and my first area was Watonga. I met Gene and Jerry my first day and learned to love them quickly. I was there when their mother died.and was very concerned about what would become of them. Over the years I agonized over what happened to them and spent many times pleading with the Lord to bless them. Then one day I was visiting papago Ward while visiting our children in Mesa and the person conducting the meeting announced the closing prayer by Jerry Long. Jerry did not remember me but it was great to meet him again and then his brother Gene. I loved visiting with Jerry every time I came to Arizona. I have since been to Watonga a few times and the different Cheyenne people who knew him were greatfull to hear of his success. My love to all of you, I will truly miss him till I shall see him again some day.
