Born to Neldon and Janell (Kleinman) Nichols on July 27, 1954 in Mesa, Arizona, Jim was the 5th of 9 children. He loved numbers, baseball, autumn leaves, gift giving, and puns; in his community, “Dad Jokes” were more often known as “Jim Jokes.” He was the loving husband of Eileen Clement Nichols, and the proud father of two children, Drew and Willow, from his previous marriage.
