Condolences

  • We all loved her upbeat attitude and spirit. She will be missed- Johnny

  • One of the most intelligent, authentic, purely spiritual, beautiful and enjoyable women ever created by the hand of God. I have so loved and appreciated her from the moment I 1st met her, served with her…laughed and cried with and for her! What a bright joy and mentor she had been my entire life. Will miss her deeply and honor her, her choice family and her exemplary life….eternally! Love you all dear ones!

  • I just ran into her at the Cinemark theater a few weeks ago…she was her cute bubbly self…loved everyone…made everyone feel special…how quickly things can change. I loved serving with her many years ago and rubbing shoulders with her off and on for all these many years. Regrets? yes! because we never did get together and do lunch like we said we would the last time we talked. I send my love to all her beautiful family. What a blessing she has been in your lives and in so many others.

  • This amazing lady was a second mom to me. I loved being in her home and going on family vacations with this amazing family! You can tell the kind of mom she is by looking at all her amazing children!I have always admired her for her intelligence, spunk, tenacity, cheerfulness, spirituality and her ability to handle all the vicissitudes of life.

  • Oh how I loved this beautiful, wonderful lady. She was always an example to me of Christlike love. I will miss her so very much.

  • Jaleen could light any room up with her fun personality. Everyone that knew her L♥️VED her! She was so talented and shared her wisdom with us all. I loved her laugh and spunky personality. She loved her children and smiled BIG when she spoke of them. We will sorely miss Jaleen. What a BEAUTIFUL lady. 🌹

Outstanding and gracious LADY!!!!! -Many years ago, I was a volunteer (committeewoman) for the Republican Party and walked the neighborhood with nominating petitions for elected officials in the steamy month of May with my 2 year old in tow and he asked if there were any registered Publicans in the Mason house on 9th Street- she was so sweet and kind to him-I was very impressed-her family members have a great example to follow.

I am so sorry I will not be able to attend this sweet lady’s services! She had a Christ-like love for others, and served others constantly. While I was in YW there were only 2 of us in the class. We were either put in with older girls- who didn’t want us there, or younger girls – where we didn’t want to be. This sweet lady took two Laurels and made them into their own class. She gave excellent lessons and we never would miss – knowing how much time she spent preparing a lesson for just the two of us. Years later she hosted my bridal shower. I have so much love and respect for this wonderful woman. She made everyone feel loved and important. She had endless energy. She will truly be missed.

  • To all of Jaleen’s children, step children, grandkids and great grandkids,
What a wonderful blessing to have been raised and nurtured by such a loving mother and step mom. I hope for nothing but fond memories as your celebrate her life. My prayers are with you.

I still remember the first time I entered Jaleen’s home over 45 years ago. She wanted to visit with me and gave me a home tour the day before I babysat her youngest children. But first, she finished setting a beautiful table for her family’s supper. I watched the care she put into making even the folded cloth napkins “just so.” It left an impression on me that she was determined to give her best efforts in even the most mundane of homemaking responsibilities. Her home was clean, organized, with such a warm, inviting spirit. A few years later she patiently taught me how to serve in my R.S. calling as a young adult. Her ideas and enthusiasm were contagious and helped me to understand the concept of serving with one’s whole heart. The last time I saw her was in a Sacrament meeting. She came and sat by me. She reminisced about my beloved Mother and how she missed her. During the service she remarked, “I see your mother’s hands in yours,” and her observation touched my heart. Thank you, Jaleen, for being such an “elect lady” in our midst. Your influence cannot be measured.

  • Oh how I love this spunky lady! She’s gorgeous inside and out. She is already missed greatly.

Growing up as a small child across the street from Jaleen on 9th street and knowing her and her children throughout my life has been a tremendous blessing to me personally. She was and is the sweetest lady! I am so grateful I was able to see her just a few short weeks ago and was able to get a final hug. My eyes well up with tears to think of her beautiful spirit not being with us and especially with her family here. I’m sure the heavens are a happier place with her cheery personality spreading love to those beyond the veil! I know the Lord will bless her children and grandchildren with peace and gratitude during the coming weeks and years. Sending all of our love and prayers, Doug & Audrey Herron.

  • Such a sweet lady! She will really be missed! My love and prayers go out to her family!

  • When we first moved into our home in Mesa the Masons were on our doorstep within 24 hours! Living just a block from them and being served by them was just what I needed as a lonely Arizona transplant. I watched Jaleen closely as she taught, served, loved, and lead in so many capacities in our ward. For so many of us she was the ultimate Righteous Woman. “If we could just manage to be like Jaleen!” Her beautiful family certainly reflects her spirit and loving grace. This corner of the earth will be a little darker because of her leaving, but truly heaven will be brighter!
