Eva Marie Wallace Stakebake, 83, returned to her Heavenly Parents’ and Savior’s loving arms on March 15, 2022 in Gilbert, Arizona surrounded by loved ones.
She was born on September 1,1938 to Sidney and Eva Wallace in Boulder City, Nevada. Marie lived a very happy and full life. In 1958, she married her sweetheart, Ronald E. Stakebake Sr. and was blessed with three children; Ronald E. Stakebake Jr., James Wallace Stakebake, and Deborah J. Stakebake (Love).
She was a devoted and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved studying the scriptures, serving in and attending the temple, traveling, painting with oils, crocheting afghan blankets for family members, reading novels, planning family gatherings, playing card games, swimming, and spending time with her family. She attended Arizona State University and majored in Elementary Education. She enjoyed working at Forever Living Products for over 30 years.
Marie is preceded in death by her husband Ronald, her parents Sidney and Eva Wallace, her brother Robert, his spouse June, her brother John, her brother-in-law Heber Loveland, and her daughter-in-law Linda. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Ronald (Daunna), James (Lynice), Deborah (Thomas Love), her brother Don (Joanne), her sister Patricia (Lloyd Thayne), her brother Dean (Deanne), and her sister Martha Jean (Steve Noyes).
Her legacy will be continued through her 9 grandchildren: Sheri (Henrik), Eryn (Harrison), Ronald III, James (Rebekkah), Christopher (Katie), Kimberly (Patrick), Brittany (Devin), Tiffany (Braden), Tyler and 13 great-grandchildren: Ryleigh, Raelynn, Adrianna, Elizabeth, Travis, James, Katherine, Ryker, Brielle, Griffin, Michael, Pearl, and Logan.
Memorial Services will be held Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 7:00 p.m., preceded by a visitation at 6:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 230 N. Val Vista Drive, Gilbert, AZ 85234. Memorial services in Ephraim, Utah are provided by Magleby and Sons Mortuary on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., preceded by a visitation at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 420 N. 200 West, Ephraim, UT 84627. Interment will be at the Ephraim Park Cemetery.
There are no words adequate enough to express our deep gratitude to the angels from Hospice of The Valley that provided comfort and care to our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. We will be forever grateful for their love and support.
