Service Location: St. Timothy Catholic Church - 1730 W. Guadalupe Road, Mesa, Arizona

Edna Mae entered the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 26, 2022, after gracing this earth for 92 years. She was born on December 16,1929, in Streator, Illinois, to Thomas Steven Moore and Elenora Lechner, and grew up on a farm where she experienced many fond childhood memories. Her farm was one of the first in the area to have electricity. She attended a one-room country schoolhouse and was one of only five students to graduate from Lostant High School in 1948. She loved school and attended Bradley University where she met her adoring husband, Howard Troupa, and celebrated 63 years of marriage together. They gave life to four beautiful daughters: Debbie Reed (Warren) of Mountain Top, Pennsylvania, Mary Lou Gennaro (Franco) of Gainesville, Florida, Karen Tansill (Joe) of Gilbert, Arizona, and Laurie Troupa-Knox of Gilbert, Arizona. In addition, they fostered 12 babies while raising their girls in Indianapolis, Indiana. Later, they moved to Mesa, Arizona, in 1981, to enjoy a warmer climate. Edna Mae was very active in volunteering at hospitals, nursing homes and her retirement community at Fellowship Square Historic Mesa.

She was also very active in church, women’s bible studies and fellowship groups, the Catholic Charismatic Movement and Life in the Spirit Seminars. She loved to talk about church, share her faith and challenge others to grow closer to God.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Howard Milton Troupa (2016), her brother Thomas Joseph Moore (2011), and her sister Irene Marie Moore (1928), who died as a young girl. She was blessed to have 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life and Christian Funeral Mass will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1730 W Guadalupe Road, Mesa, AZ 85202, on Monday, February 6th, at 10:00am. The service will be live-streamed.
