Anthony ‘Tony’ Austin will be remembered by me as charismatic, charming, devastatingly handsome, shy, brilliant, worldly, approachable, and most of all as my very sweet, kind neighbor at Fellowship Square Historic Mesa.
Tony very generously shared his reading of one of his novels with those of us fortunate enough to hear him.
It is a heartbreaking understatement to say I will miss the occasional opportunity to watch Tony leave his apartment across from mine as he methodically gathered his satchel, locked his door, and with sparkling eyes welcomed me to follow his scooter in my wheelchair to the diningroom .
