TAMMY SUE STRANGE

Tammy was born May 3, 1961 in Alamosa, Colorado.  She is the second girl, and also the fifth and youngest child of Hazel and Marvin Martin.  When she was 3 1/2 years old her family moved to Mesa, Arizona, where she remained the rest of her life.  She loved Mesa with all her heart and never wanted to leave.  She excelled in playing the clarinet while attending Westwood High School, and was in the Honor Choir.  She graduated from Westwood in 1979.  She worked as a phlebotomist at Desert Samaritan Hospital for nine years.

Tammy was completely devoted to her husband, Scott, and they have lived happily through years and years together with their many puppies and kitties.  Tammy loved movies with great conversations and CNN and MSNBC for current events and opinions.  She was a happy extrovert who loved people and especially children.

Tammy passed away August 23, 2014.

Condolences

  • I am so sorry for you loss. The death of a loved one is a very hard to deal with. But during this difficult time the Bible can be a source of comfort. In Isaiah 25:8 we read about how soon Jehovah will eliminate death forever. Also, John 5;28,29 talks about the dead being resurrected. And in Psalm 37:9-11;29 we read about live forever on earth in a peaceful paradise. Imagine that, living forever on earth in peace with your loved ones and without the fear of dying. To some it may seem like a fairy-tale, but we can believe in these words because the Bible assures us that God cannot lie.(Titus 1:2) I hope that these scriptures can help all in grief. Also, feel free to visit our website Jw.org for more information on the dead and the hope they have, and also to answer any other questions you may have.

  • I am so sorry to hear of Tammy’s passing. She was such a sweet lady and I am honored to have known her. Scott, her family and her furry babies are all in my thoughts.
