Service Date: 11/11/2016
Service Time: 10:00 AM
Service Location: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 745 N. Val Vista, Mesa, Arizona

On Saturday, November 5th, 2016 Richard James Wilcken went into the arms of his Heavenly Father, joining his grandfather and uncle.  He was born January 18th, 2012 to Jared and Josephine Wilcken of Mesa, Arizona.  He was a rambunctious, curious, and adorable little boy who was loved deeply by his family, teachers, and anyone who knew him.  His time on this earth was short but sweet and he left a giant, cuddly, and wriggly hole in the hearts of his parents, his sister and two brothers.  He will be deeply missed by his grandma, cousins, aunts and uncles.  Until we meet again and rejoice, sweet Richard!  Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, with a visitation one hour prior; Friday, November 11th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 745 N. Val Vista, in Mesa.

Condolences

  • Though I know that this is a difficult time for you, my hope is that you will be comforted from God’s inspired word the Bible. John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21: 3,4 gives hope of a future resurrection and the complete elimination of death, pain and mourning. Under Jesus’ kingdom rule we have this and much more to look forward to. Please accept my deepest condolences. For more scriptural encouragement please go to http://www.jw.org

  • Deepest sympathy for Richard’s family, what an adorable little boy! Our Heavenly Father is hurt at heart when we lose our loved ones because death was not part of God’s original purpose for us. We all look forward to the promise at 1 Corinthians 15:26 – “the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing.” Death is an enemy that separates us from our loved ones. When this promise is fulfilled, we can enjoy life the way our Grand Creator purposed for us…forever on earth. (Psalms 37:9, 11)
