Kay Hubert Hoke, 82, former Mesa resident passed away December 10, 2016 at his Honolulu, Hawaii home.
Kay was born in Camp Point, Illinois on July 3, 1934 to Jewell (Mesa businessman) and Margaret (housewife) whose deaths preceded his. Kay was a 1952 Mesa High School grad and a 1957 ASU grad with honors in Mathematics and Chemistry. Upon graduation he received his commission in the Army and resigned later on as a 1st Lt. For a number of years he worked at numerous companies in the computing field. He retired as a professor at the University of Hawaii in Computer Sciences.
Survivors are brothers Terry (Mary) of San Antonio, TX and their 3 children; John of Chandler, AZ and his daughter; and sister Judy of Mesa, AZ.
Interment with graveside military honors will be Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 2 PM at the City of Mesa Cemetery, 1212 N. Center Street, Mesa. Arrangements by Bunker’s Garden Chapel. Donations to the American Heart Association are welcomed.
