Kathy Jane Pickles was born on Sept 8, 1949 and joined her Heavenly Father, her brother Jack, sister Joan and the rest of her Heavenly Family at the young age of 68 on November 22, 2017. She is survived by her adoring, loving husband Derrick and their children Denine, Susie, Charity, Scott, Teddy and Darren and their spouses. Also survived by her sister Joyce, nieces, nephew and all her beautiful loving grand babies. She fought her cancer long and hard with a smile and a happy attitude no matter the pain and hardships. Kathy was a strong, beautiful, hardworking, creative, fun and outgoing woman. She ALWAYS had a smile on her face and adored her family. In the summer you could always find her in the pool with the grandbabies no matter their age. She always showed us her patience and had ways to solve everything to make them better. She was selfless, generous and would give her shirt off her back for anyone. Her patience and love for others made her our hero! She often mentioned that her family is her life and she loved having family around. Her loving husband loved her so much and often says she was the best thing that happened to him. He was dedicated to her from the moment he laid eyes on her. She was loved by so many people because she was so uplifting and fun to be around. She had a beautiful life that often she said that she was very blessed. We love you mom and are so thankful for such an amazing example of true Christ like attributes for us to follow.  In lieu of flowers please donate to Hospice of the Valley. Saturday December 2 at 10am greet the family and services at 11am 2835 E Des Moines Mesa 85213.

Our thoughts are with you Derrick and your family and so sorry we won’t be able to be with you in person. It was great to have Kathy as part of the family. She was full of life and joy, with a sense of humour and a beautiful laugh. Caring and thoughtful of others, someone who was a pleasure to be around.

  • I worked with Kathy for many years and she was the kindest, loyal and loving person. She always had a good heart and a great attitude to all. She was a great example for us all.

  • A smile always comes to my face when I think of Kathy. Camping with our young families and our children playing together are just two of the happy memories. Her cheerfulness always lifted everyone’s spirits. Well done, Kathy. Rest knowing we will miss you and we love your whole crew!

  • I Grew up with her son Darren. Kathy was like a momma to all us boys at the time she was alway in a good mood with a smile on her face. She would make us breakfast every morning before school and weekends. Nothing was Better than her egg sandwich. Loved those. She will be missed.
