Condolences

  • My family (Carl & Barbara Gray) and I to church with Jerry in the Conifer Ward in Colorado. I remember he always had a smile on his face, was full of jokes and ready to lend a helping hand to anyone. He was always busy doing something for someone. I was deeply saddened to learn of his passing and pray for his family during this time. The world needs more people like Jerry and he will be missed.

  • Although I have had no contact with the Morris family for about 15 years, the news of Jerry’s passing deeply saddens me. I would like for whoever reads this to know and remember that Jerry’s influence is far reaching. He left a lifetime of service and mentorship in his wake. Thank you, Jerry, for being there for me during a time when seeing good men simply being good men was of the greatest importance. God bless you and your family.

  • For the six years the Gray’s lived in Colorado (1994-2000), we had a great friend in Jerry Morris. I appreciated Jerry’s help with the Boy Scouts. My boys Adam and Paul were good friends with Jeran and Tyler. Barbara enjoyed comparing seminary notes with Jerry, since they were both teachers. Barbara said today that the only Super Bowl partys she ever been to were the two Jerry and Jan hosted at their home when Elway won two with the Broncos. Jerry loved Elway and the Broncos. I’ll always remember Jerry for being funny, kind and caring. But most of all I’ll remember him for his strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

  • LaWana Willbrand and family

We miss you so much already uncle Jerry. Until we meet again. Love ya, LaWana

  • Jerry was a man who had a big impact on my life while growing up in Conifer. He was an example of honest hard work and generosity that has stuck with even after several years of not seeing him. He always impressed me with how much he desired to help others in whatever way he could. The Lord brought home a great man.

  • John Todd Harrison

I lived down the street from Jerry back in Norwalk, Ca. I remember that he was always looking out for us younger kids. And I know that he was a great guy. He was a very kind and caring and he will be missed by many of us.

  • Jerry Morris–he was such a wonderful example to me throughout all the many years that I have known him. He was a perfect example of Meekness….he just quietly went around doing service for anyone who needed it. But in the last 10 years or so I’ve come to see so much goodness in Jerry. I will always cherish the times that I have had conversations with Jerry–oh how Jerry Loved His Wife Jan! He loved her in such a beautiful Romantic way…always looking for ways to tell her or show her of his love. Those times he would share with me of his love for his boys and how proud he was of his boys…those conversations were priceless to me. I will never forget all that he taught me through his great example. I pray every day for Jerry’s family for he will be sorely missed. With all of my love to the family, Dotti Gilos

I got the pleasure to know Jerry from kindergarten through 12 th grade. You will surely be missed by a lot of people he has touched a lot people’s hearts. God bless you Jerry take care and see you later.

  • Jerry was one of those you could depend on in whatever you asked of him to do. More important he did things of lasting importance to people’s lives without being asked. He is truly one man who made a difference. That kind of influence must have been needed on the other side. We look forward to seeing him again.
