Dr James M. Noble
Loving Husband, Father, Grandpa, Son and Brother, passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with leukemia. Born in Wilcox, AZ in 1954 to David and LaRue Noble and raised in Tempe, AZ. Jim graduated from McClintock High School, ASU and Baylor University Dental School, having practiced dentistry in Tempe for over 36 years. He was so loved by patients and staff. Jim had a great love of the outdoors, particularly the beautiful White Mountains of Alpine, AZ, spending cherished time there with generations of family over the years. Jim’s passion for flying led him to fly his own plane over miles of breathtaking Arizona terrain. A devoted ASU Baseball fan, he rarely missed a home game. His family instilled a love of music that lasted a lifetime, playing tuba in his High School’s Marching Band and singing in the church choir until just recently. As a young man, Jim served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Rome, Italy. Jim’s greatest love was his family and is survived by his wife, Sarah. He was previously married to Jeannine and together they have 6 wonderful children, Joshua, Samuel (Rebecca), Nicole (Randy), Ryan, Jeffery and John David (deceased). 4 loving stepchildren, Brandt, Loren (Lauren), Michael, Meredith, 7 sweet grandchildren and many beloved siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews and Aunts. Our hearts break as we say goodbye, too soon, to our sweet Jim, Dad, Grandpa, Brother and Friend.  Funeral Services: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1881 E. Del Rio Dr. Tempe, AZ. December 2nd, 9am Visitation, 10am Service. Burial: Alpine, Arizona. Arrangements made by and more info at www.bunkercares.com

  • Dr. Noble was so awesome! I felt blessed to have had such great dentist – so gentle, patient and funny. I actually looked forward to him poking and prodding my teeth as he cared for his 14 pieces of artwork (crowns) that reside inside my mouth. I will think of him daily when I brush, floss & smile. He will surely be missed.

  • Joan and Gene Frazier

We are longtime patients of Dr. Noble who deeply appreciated his kindness as much as his expertise, advice and excellent services. He will be enormously missed by his devoted patients and staff. God bless and be with you and all your family forever.

Dear noble family, We are saddened to hear about the loss of Jim. We have many fond memories with your family over the soccer years when Adam and Ryan played together. Praying that God will ease your sadness during this difficult time.

  • Our family have been patients of Dr. Nobles for many many years. My children grew up in his dental chair! The spirit of joy and compassion that lives in all of the people surrounding his dental practice always told me so much about who Dr. Noble is. When you are a dental patient the eyes of your caregiver are what you focus on, and his were always kind. The office staff are a second family to Dr. Noble and my prayers are with them and his family as they say goodbye to such a good man.

  • Dear Noble Family,
Dr. Noble has been my family dentist for 31 years. He was the only dentist my grown children have every been too. I never needed to take my kids to a children’s specialist. He was so patient and kind. I attribute that to him being a wonderful and caring father, husband, etc. He made what, for many people, could be a traumatic experience into a pain-free endeavor. He will be sorely missed. I pray for you during this time that God may grant you piece and comfort.

  • So sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed Dr. Noble’s visits to our bank. He was humble and nice and pleasant. I know he’ll be missed. We are saddened here. These scriptures have comforted me and I hope they will comfort you as well: Job 14:14, 15. John 5:28, 29.

  • I will miss Jim! I always appreciated what a wonderful host he was. Each time I visited Sarah and Jim they would plan a fun activity and he always insisted on paying for dinner when we went out. I will miss his yummy fudge too!
God bless to the family and especially to you my sweet Sarah! I’m so sorry!

  • RIP Dr Noble…you will be missed….you were a great dentist to me and you always had kind words….my sympathy goes out to the family and to the staff where he had his practice in Tempe.

  • Barbara Friedman

I was 21 the first time I sat down in Dr. Noble’s “chair”. He knew right away I was a sissy. His demeanor, his voice, and his patience won me over. It was always a mystery to me how his large hands could be so gentle! and his memory! Wow! He’d remember stuff from my last visit and sometimes even before! Dr. Noble, you will be missed. To his family…. I am very sorry for your loss. We were all lucky to have had him in our lives.

  • Carol Pugh, Connie and Arlie Hunt

We have gone to Dr. Noble for over 12 years, I would occasionally have a problem with a tooth or teeth that didn’t fit the norm. He patiently took extra time to find a solution so I was in great shape when I left the office, I will miss his intelligence, expertise and kindness. With our heartfelt blessings to his family and staff.

  • Carol Pugh, Connie and Arlie Hunt
