Frank Kenneth Levy, Jr. (Ken Levy) 64 of Queen Creek passed away on Tuesday, March 17th, 2015.  On Monday, March 9th, while at a field trial in Las Cruces, New Mexico he suffered a massive heart attack.   He was flown to Arizona for surgery and treatment where he slept peacefully until he went to be with the Lord.

Little Kenny (as he was known by his family) was born on June 16, 1950 in Brawley, California.   He started hunting and fishing as soon as he could shoot a gun and cast a line….and continued to spend most of his life doing just that.   As soon as he could drive, he would jump in his little green car, which he named Sweet Pea, and head down Highway 101 to Refugio, El Capitan or Gaviota beach, where he would spend the day surfing, mostly during school hours.   He attended Lompoc High School and enlisted in the United States Navy immediately after graduation.

Ken loved being outdoors and was the happiest when he could spend time with his Championship German Shorthair Pointers and his horses; but mostly when he was on the water fishing.   I think that Kenny could catch a fish anywhere, under any conditions.  He gained a great number of friends over the past several decades sharing his love of fishing and his dogs.  He was greatly loved by the anglers, hunters and dog lovers in the Southwest, especially here in Arizona, which he called home.

He is survived by his Parents, Frank Kenneth Sr. and Wanda (Burke) Levy of Queen Creek;  His Sisters, Barbara Harper (Nevada), Cheryl Levy (California) and Debbie Levy (Arizona);   His Children:  Misti Ford (California), Michael Dean Bullivant and Randall Kenneth Bullivant (California).   His Grandchildren:  Gabriela and Saryna Parra, Kaitlyn, Lacey, Wyatt and Bristol Bullivant.   His Aunts and Uncles:  Darrell Burke, Laverne Corwin, Edward Dean Burke and Joy Fleischner.

Kenny will be greatly missed by so very many….

He will be laid to rest at the VA National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ  85024. Committal Services will begin at 11:00A.M.

    Our deepest sympathy and prayers,
Ken, will leave my son and I with great memories. We will cherish our time with him. Ken took us on fishing trips and we saw him compete with his loved dogs and horses in pointing and flushing. We have never caught so many fish in our lives then with Ken. I greatly appreciate how Ken taught my son how to fish and advised him on life lessons. We will miss him greatly and keep him in our heart. May God give peace and comfort to the family.

    Sincerely, Jeff and Josh

  • I love you Big Brother. We surely had some fun together….going to the beach, dancing, fishing, spending so many nights at Lake Mendocino around a campfire and waiting for the early morning to ski while the water was still glass. One of my favorite memories was pheasant hunting with you in Iowa! I know that you are with the Lord and that I will see you again….but gosh darn it anyway. I’ll take care of Mama and Daddy, so don’t worry about them. I bet you are teaching everyone up there about your KSW…..aren’t you?

Our deepest sympathy and prayers for all of your family and friends. I enjoyed getting to know Ken through fishing out on the lakes. He was always easy to talk to, he gave good advise and taught me a lot about fishing. I wish we still had time to talk, I miss you already, as is evident with all your friends who are posting on the zone since you let us know you were in trouble on your way to the hospital we all were praying you would get through this. We will meet again friend, find some good fishing spots for us. See you when we get there. Sincerely, Ed Lee

  • I’m very sorry for your loss, and I wanted to offer you some comfort that I’ve found in the Bible. Isaiah 25:8 says “God will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.” I hope this verse brings you some comfort and strength as you cherish the memories of your loved one.
