Faith Marts Evans

09/07/1928 - 04/04/2013

Faith Marts Evans, a long-time resident of the Phoenix – and Mesa, Arizona area, went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the age of 84 years. She lived with Parkinson’s Disease and its complications. Greeting her were her parents, William Raleigh Marts and Reba Ann Donaldson, her brothers Douglas J. Marts, and Colonel Jay F. Marts, as well as her husband of 52 years, Robert Edgar Evans. Born September 7, 1928 in Salem, New Jersey, Faith was loved by everyone with whom she crossed paths. She was spirited, inspirational, and intelligent, graduating 2nd highest in her High School graduating class of 1947, as well as scoring second highest on the DuPont entrance exam. Her dedication and personal sacrifice to her family was of utmost importance to her and she taught us to not judge others and to show mercy. Faith’s beauty and creativity earned her the first runner-up in the Mrs. Littleton Homemaker contest in Colorado, but her beauty and talent was more than skin deep. She was a beautiful soul and it shined through to everyone she met. Her sister, Hope E Marts in Delaware is her only remaining sibling. To continue her legacy are her sons Douglas R. Evans, Eric B. Evans, Todd W. Evans and her daughter, Tamra E. Wittman and “son-of-love,
